Leaving Polarity Behind

I have been reading Gregg Braden's Awakening to Zero Point this week and have been profoundly moved by his understanding of "the Source of all that is," and how everything in our experience is sourced by whatever we choose to name the one Source. Think about this: there is no "good" or "evil" unless we name it so, or make it mean this. And as along as we continue to paint our world in these two colors, we will continue to believe in, be living in, a world of separation, a world in which we are separate from the Source of All that Is, the One Giver of Movement and Measure, Wakan Tanka in Lakota, Hunab K'u in Mayan.

So, here's the new gift. Whenever you start to get angry about something you have seen on the news or read or heard or been texted, pause for a moment and bring compassion to the person or the situation in your mind and in your heart. If it's your own life, your own situation, pause further and ask how this new situation may be offering you an opportunity to grow, expand, or express your intelligence in a new way. Bring love and compassion to yourself. There is no good. There is no evil. There is only our experience and the attitude we bring to it.

~ Thank you, Gregg.

Evolution & 2012

Last year I read Daniel Pinchbeck's, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl. It was an interesting description of his journey with psychedelics, mystics and scholars, from the Amazon to the Crop Circles in England. In it, he offered a lot of thoughtful synopses of the spiritual and scientific currents coming together at this time. In conclusion he shared his feeling that he is broadcasting the Quetzalcoatl channel, but I also believe that he was saying that each of us can tap the channel or current of the multi-colored Feathered Serpent, a fully embodied Divine Being, consciously creating love and joy in our lives and our relationships.
On or about the Winter Solstice of 2012, our solar system will be fully in the stream of a new photon beam of Light emanating from the center of the Milky Way galaxy. I believe that this photon beam is sending Light information to our sun and our sun is sending it on to us through the electrons streaming from its solar flares. Since 1987, the Harmonic Convergence, Earth first entered the beam. Each year since we have spent a few more days or weeks inside of the beam, and each year since the hold of the old paradigm of fear has loosed a bit more . . . and the rebirth of the light in our conscious awareness has grown. I believe that 2012 is an open door, an invitation to spiritual evolution, an opportunity to shift into a dynamic life pattern in which we will be capable of fully celebrating ourselves, as well as being fully aware of the whole continuum of life, taking actions and making choices which support the greater good.

Winter Solstice

Today is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, the day when the earth's tilt and orbital path bring it closer to the sun once more. I have been working with Amorah Quan Yin's Pleiadian Workbook. The grounding exercise she offers is wonderful. She first teaches you how to work with your Aura and then teaches how to create and send a grounding cord down through the crust of the Earth, through the bedrock to the crystal iron core of the Earth, anchoring it there. You can change its color depending on what you need in the moment and it feels really good to be energetically anchored in this way.

My goal today is to keep breathing and being present to this opportunity to go within and breathe into the ground of my being in the dark of the long night, the darkness of the creative void.

The World Tree

In Secrets of Mayan Science/Religion, Hunbatz Men gives a wonderful teaching on the significance of the letter T in the Mayan language and cosmology. In ancient Mayan the word for tree was te. This emerged from the words teol and teotl, the names of God the Creator. Similarly, the word for I is ten, you is teche, and he/she/it is leti. Le means tree leaf and ti means there on it, together meaning leaf on the tree. In this way it is easy to see that the Sacred Tree is within each of us. Humanity, Spirit, and the Sacred Tree are all one.
While dipping in and out of a couple of books by Barbara Hand Clow, Johan Calleman, and Hunbatz Men I have come across a deep teaching of the tree and all that it means. The World Tree has its branches in the galaxy, its trunk on the Earth, and its roots connecting to the core of the Earth.
So, while I am walking through the streets of northern Chicago to my train each morning, I breathe in and see the trees, my brothers and my sisters. I look at their bark, the arc of their branches, and the sky. I breathe out, and I smile to the trees. They are my elders.

Solstice Light

I'm sitting here with a fresh cup of pineapple tea, enjoying the sounds of Robert Haig Coxon's The Silent Path. I know it's still dark outside but in a few more minutes the Earth will rotate into the view of our Sun for another day of light. It's the quiet time, the darkest time of the solar year in these last few weeks before the Winter Solstice. As I look ahead to that point, the turn in our orbital into the nearer path of the sun, I can feel myself burrowing deeper into my joy, into my heart, into my gratitude for life and creativity and love. I want to mine all that is mine, all that is me, in this dark moon of the year. I want to grab up all that I forgot, all that I took for granted in myself and sing it. I want my voice to ring out of my heart when the light breaks.
And so I look within and I breathe and I allow the Earth's energy to fill me with peace and happiness and strength, the strength of being still while seeds mature and get ready to pop.
